Learning to sing takes time, patience and practice. 
As you begin to study voice keep your long term goals in mind. 
 Learning to sing is both an intellectual and physical process. 
Training your muscles to remember
how to react when singing an interval or when
sustaining a phrase takes time and practice.
You must train your vocal muscles 
by repeating a task
correctly many times so your voice
responds effectively .

 Heather Nixon is working with Kim Clark 
 who is a fully qualified teacher with a BA(hons)Degree
and further teaching qualifications inc-PGCE
    with years of teaching experience behind her​​.
​Kim has sung from a young age 
and has vast knowledge and
     experience of the workings of the voice.    
She has undergone extensive training
   both outside the studios and with myself.
    She is an excellent singer and vocal coach.

TERMS OF BUSINESS AND USE AGREEMENT
We require 48 hours cancellation notice
or students will be charged full price.
As you are all aware, to try avoid you having
to pay the fee, we always do our best to rearrange
a cancelled lesson and this can only be
rearranged into the same week. However,
we are very busy and this is not always possible!
So unfortunately you would be charged
the full price of the lesson.
  
The Audio/Vocal exercises given to students have been
either purchased or created by Nixon Studios,
and we are distributing them to students for
their personal use only. The lesson price
covers the fifty minute lesson only, and does
not entitle any person to distribute these
audio/ vocal exercises to another party.
 
Please be aware that all vocal exercises
and extra educational material given to
students from Nixon Studios must only
be used for the students personal practice
 when away from the studios. Therefore,
they must not be used or given to other people
for their use or monetary gain as this is a
breach of and against our
terms of use and business agreement.
 
If Students do not attend two consecutive
lessons, your slot will be given to
another student and you will have to re-join a waiting list.

I Love how Heather won’t let me be defeated, but always finds ways to show me how to be successful. During my lessons I feel at ease and I’m learning to be more experimental every day.  Kim is an amazing singer and a fabulous teacher. Kim has been teaching our 9 year old daughter for nearly a year now. What a year it has been! Our daughter has weekly lessons and has not only developed massively in her vocals but in her confidence and the understanding of the science behind singing too (as a non singer I am amazed at how it all works... breathing, vocal placement!). Kim inspires our daughter, supporting and encouraging her (and me to help her at home with the weekly exercises), making every lesson fun, keeping her engaged and focused. Kim has been teaching my 9 year old daughter for 9 months now. Kim has the most beautiful voice and if she can share just a fraction of her talent with Eliza we won't go far wrong! We have noticed that Eliza's swimming has improved greatly too - we think it's down to all the breathing exercises!
